Golden Boot Winners of FIFA World Cup

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to begin on November 21 in Qatar. Some legendary footballers, like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Luis Suarez, among others, may participate in their final World Cup this year. Ronaldo and Messi will be trying to end their careers by winning the magical Golden Boot this season despite having dominated world football over the previous ten years. The Golden Boot winners from the previous five FIFA World Cups are shown below.

The legendary Brazilian forward Ronaldo had an outstanding tournament and ended up winning the Golden Boot in the FIFA World Cup of 2002. Ronaldo scored eight goals during the tournament and was a key player in Brazil’s victory over the tournament. After defeating Germany in the title match, it was Brazil’s sixth World Cup victory, and they have since failed to win the title again.

FIFA World Cup 2006 – Miroslav Klose

The FIFA World Cup 2006’s best scorer was former Germany forward Miroslav Klose. Despite Klose’s five goals for Germany during the tournament, they were unable to win the cup. He holds the record for the most goals scored in FIFA World Cups and is Germany’s all-time top scorer in international football.

FIFA World Cup 2010 – Thomas Muller

In the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Thomas Muller scored 5 goals for Germany, making him a formidable opponent. David Villa, Diego Forlan, and Wesley Sneijder all had five goals to their names, but Muller was awarded the Golden Boot since he had the most (3) assists out of the four players.

FIFA World Cup 2014 – James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez, an offensive midfielder for Colombia, found his place in the world at the 2014 FIFA World Cup with some amazing performances for his country. As the tournament’s top scorer with six goals, Rodriguez was awarded the Golden Boot.

FIFA World Cup 2018 – Harry Kane

The 2018 FIFA World Cup’s Golden Boot was awarded to England’s Harry Kane, who won the tournament. Kane won the top title for the first time in his career against strong opposition from players like Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Romelu Lukaku, among others. In order to help France win the World Cup, Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann each scored four goals.
