FIFA, the world’s top governing body, unveiled the venue for the 2026 World Cup on Friday at June 17, 2022 morning. Everyone knew that the 2026 World Cup would be hosted by a few countries in North America. But it was not known which countries would be on that list.
48 countries will take part in the 2026 World Cup. So for 48 countries, 16 fields from three countries have been selected, while 6 domains have been selected for the Qatar World Cup. This World Cup is going to be unique for another particular reason. Because for the first time since 2002, the World Cup will be multiple countries.
The last World Cup in North America was held in 1994 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles. In that event, Brazil lost to Italy in Los Angeles and took their fourth World Cup title. However, this time Sophie Stadium has been chosen as the venue instead of Rose Bowl Stadium.
